Jacques Le Corre - TRANOÏ Richelieu
Jacques Le Corre
Acclaimed French milliner Jacques le Corre has a timeless, laidback style that makes the wearing of hats effortless, elegant and available to all. His famed signature piece, the mouldable ‘chapeau clochard de luxe’ hat was launched in 1985. It has become an iconic style that is reinvented each season with different fabrics, textures and colours. Having studied graphic design and communications, Jacques le Corre worked as a freelancer for several designers including Kenzo, Chloé and Jil Sander. Through these collaborations, Jacques Le Corre gained the technical knowledge required to launch his own label. His exploration of the notions of hat wearing and the subsequent challenges one is faced with when travelling and packing a hat led him to create his unique symbolic style - The hat is both a wearable, functional piece and also an object in its own right. Jacque Le Corres passed away in September 2010. The atelier Jacques Le Corres continues to create the collections respecting his spirit and his direction.
