GAUHARThe founder and designer of GAUHAR- Gaga Murray, was born in 1992 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Surrounded by her mother’s love of art and design she developed a deep passion for drawing and working creatively with an array of materials. She studied visual arts & jewelry design at Pine Manor College and Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Over the course of her studies, Gaga found herself drawn towards jewelry design. In 2018 at the age of 25, she launched her own jewelry house- GAUHAR. Gaga’s inspiration for GAUHAR is a balanced mix between the traditional images and patterns of her home region, often found in architecture & hand woven textiles, and from her time living in the vibrant city of Dubai, a global hub which seamlessly ties together the cultures of the East & the West.
